UFC 110 was a big night for some of the veterans of the sport, with Wanderlei Silva and Mirko Crocop both getting back into the win column.
Wandy beat an always game Michael Bisping to a unanimous decision, and was close to getting the stoppage at the end of the third round.
Crocop bested late replacement Anthony Perosh in another somewhat lackluster performance.
The bigger man, more experienced and obviously in better shape, Crocop got the win but didn’t look like he really wanted to be in there.
Things didn’t go quite so smoothly for Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, who may have seen his best days come and go with another knockout loss.
Cain Velasquez took another big step towards the UFC title with a first round stoppage win over Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.
He will likely now become the number one contender to Brock Lesnar when he returns later on this year.
Local fighter George Sotiropoulos also impressed with a three round grappling clinic over Joe Stevenson.
